A Southern Retreat - Stone House Hotel

Stone House, Rushlake Green, in East Sussex, is a “splendid” Tudor manor with Georgian additions. The rooms are filled with heirlooms, while the grounds contain a croquet lawn as well as walled and rose gardens. They do Opera and Sporting events picnics too. Double rooms from £148.
It is family owned and they say; "Welcome to our home. Our family built this house in 1495 and has lived here ever since. Unlike most country homes which now serve as hotels, we, the original family owners, still live and work here. We are personally attendant to your needs and dedicated to giving you the highest quality accommodation, food and country recreation. You will find your stay with us an authentic English experience you will treasure for a lifetime." Peter and Jane Dunn
